Herr von Ribbeck auf Ribbeck im Havelland hund After sawingEvery autumn, old Ribbeck, a noble man with a kind heart, gives away the delicious fruit of his pear tree to poor village children. After his death, his stingy son is in charge and the village children are left empty handed. Years later, however, a pear tree with golden yellow fruit arches over the old man's grave: paternal deceit and a late gift from the deceased, who had asked for a pear in the grave because he saw through the stingy heir.
